Description

Joakim Gunnarsson kindly made me an inked artwork, a homage for Carl Barks' cover "Rug Riders in the Sky" (US #50) and embedded there in his artwork the Qum silk carpet I am having ;-)

I have collected some time already high quality silk carpets, and only from Qum, bought them from Tehran and Dubai when traveled there, but once I was lucky and made visit in the holy city of Qum. And this carpet is from that trip. It is very unusual once it is not symmetrical and there is so much stuff woven, different flowers. Its KPSI is 625 (knots per square inch), meaning 1 million knots per sqm. Its size is about 130x200cm.

Wonderful piece by Joakim...I’d love to see him illustrate a complete Duck story... :-)
