DescriptionDefinitely time to display the splash to go along with my favorite page previously posted from this story. Done during Maroto's peak Warren timeframe----and it shows! The guy is a literal genius with the pen. And, in terms of prototypes, this was more like a much better looking sister (sorry Starlin!). The character (for two short appearances in Warren magazine) was like a gate keeper/soul searcher for the underworld (that is, hell). This is as classic as classic can get.....Social/Sharing |

What a stunner!! Maroto's work during this time period shows his true genius with line art.

Incredible find! This has been on my Want List for quite some time. I even reached out to his Rep. How did you find this?!

Bill.
I sent you a private e-mail as well. Many stories were lost during Warren Publishing's going out of business. Some stories or even individual pages from stories were supposedly given out to friends/clients of Warren's when they were in business. That last fact further complicates the potential existance or non-existance of certain stories for sure. I've searched high and low for Maroto's Wolfhunt, for example. That has been another tough nut to crack. But I refuse to believe that one is not somewhere. And if the owner (?) knew what I'd pay for it, they would probably sell it...... As mentioned in the private e-mail, this was found by accident when I was putting together a big deal with a private seller. Stranger in Hell was brought as a show and tell thing. I'm glad the thing is now in my possession (less a lot of cash!!!!). Thanks again for your interest!

This is also a piece made much nicer with the lettering included Marc!
I need to go through your whole gallery to make sure I did not miss another gem like this one.
