Sleeper Season 2 prelude p.4

Really enjoyed the Ed Brubaker writing and Sean Phillips art from this crime noir tale. The gritty, sexy, and at times funny story is perfectly complemented by the artwork. Phillips uses tons of black ink to set the tone. And he often employs a large splash image as background for the individual panels to advance the action. I love cemetery images with gravestones, so this page immediately caught my eye. Would have liked to get a page with main character Holden Carver and/or the lovely femme fatale Miss Misery, but I settled for this one featuring Carver's one-time boss John Lynch talking with an associate.
