This political strip by Walt Kelly ran on May 14, 1968. This was the date of the democratic primary election in the state of Nebraska. Robert ‘Bobby’ Kennedy won. This was Kelly’s shout-out to that race.

Another Pogo strip that I have from 1968 ran on June 6th. Ironically this was the date Robert Kennedy died.
