Description

I stopped by Michele's table at NYCC, drawn to it by a commission he was working on of Apocalyptic Wonder Woman. I'd not heard of him before, but took a look through his portfolio and thought his work was great. We discussed two sketches - one, a small Kirby monster in my Monsters Unleashed mini promo sketchbook and another, this one, an 11x17 drawing of Travis Charest's Spacegirl. This was early Saturday morning and he didn't have time that day, but asked me to come back later and talk about having them for Sunday.

By mid-day Sunday, we realized he wouldn't be able to get to the monster, so I took the sketchbook back. He said he'd be in town for a few more days (He's from Rome) and could complete the Spacegirl and have his art rep (Cadence Comic Art) mail it to me. I agreed and the drawing was completed within a week. Mailed in a sheet of masonite it arrived safe and sound.

A beautiful piece by an up and coming artist. Next year, we'll do the Kirby monster sketch. :)
