Description

Michael Kupperman might be my favorite cartoonist/illustrator/humorist of the last 20 years. His "Snake N' Bacon" was a huge hit for me when I was in college and I've kept up with his career since it was published. I have two Hatters he's done for me in various styles but I really wanted something that showed off his amazing line work. This one spoke to me because not only is it a beautiful piece, but it also incorporates Cesare from The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, played by Conrad Veidt (a favorite of mine since The Man Who Laughed). It's a beautiful piece that I'd probably be more inclined to put on my wall than another Hatter piece (can only have so many up).

Given the incredibly funny nature of much of his work, it's easy sometimes to forget how amazing Kupperman is as an artist. This is a wonderful piece.
