Inktober 23 by Mike Maihack 2017

      Mike Maihack is the cartoonist of Cleopatra in Space, a science-fiction adventure story. It started as a webcomic and is now published by Scholastic's Graphix. I first saw some examples of his art on his deviantart site. I bought a few things from his Operation Space Cat store. When the American Library Association Annual Conference was in San Francisco in 2015, I got the chance to meet Mike in person. I saw him at the San Mateo Library last year and Mike drew remarques in my Cleopatra books. He's hard at work completing Book Six now. I looked over his offerings online and decided to pick up two more of his Inktober girls. I like the midair pose of this girl. I like the gentle leap. It's almost like a dance.
