Description
Page featuring V with mask from this groundbreaking book. I believe in the long run, this will turn out to be Moore's most important work. The V mask has been adapted by anarchist movements making this a culturally significant comic that will be looked back upon as among the most important. That is how I see it. I got this page in a bigger trade deal that also included the color guide.

Awesome page! Love that sixth panel with a close up of V! This hands down is one of the best stories of all time!

I think you see it rightly, Jeff! The cultural significance of V and the Guy Fawkes mask has transcended mere entertainment. Great page.

I once had the opportunity to discuss with David Lloyd about his art. He told me how much he had been influenced by Jim Steranko, especially in his approach to lights and shadows. I think this is perfectly visible in your page. A great pick, obviously! And when it comes to select the best of Alan Moore's works, I think the debate is open. The nice thing is that there is so much to choose from. As for me, every time I re-read one of his, I'm still floored...
