From the "Gambler's World" storyling. The June 15, 1979 strip, featuring R2-D2 and C-3PO. While Al Williamson is rightfully considered the premiere classic Star Wars artist, I love Russ Manning's clean lines.

Russ did a great job of recreating the Star Wars environment, this is a really nice example. The nice rich darks and precise inking make this one particularly nice. The ship, buildings and the lovable droid duo takes me back to being a kid devouring all things Star Wars... a time machine on paper! Congrats!
