Description
A fairy-tale wedding for Valentine's Day! Claws-out Wolverine and his beloved Mariko prepare to rumble with ninja warriors in "What If Wolverine Married Mariko?” Scott Clark channels his inner Jim Lee in depicting the star-crossed lovers in one of his best Marvel covers— surely among his most memorable.

Wolverine meets Mariko in X-Men #118 (1979) when the X-Men were visiting Japan and soon are romantically involved and later engaged. In X-Men #173 (1983) they gather in Japan to celebrate their nuptials, but Mastermind manipulates Mariko into calling off the wedding and telling Logan that he is "unworthy". This What If? story depicts an alternate reality of their marriage— and an epic fight for love.

I’ll take a 90s Wolverine cover any day, esp Valentine’s Day.

Another awesome add!  Never read this issue, but curious, if he married her would he be a lot less grumpy?  Well if he's married, the chances are he would probably be a lot more!!

It's a little known fact that the alternate title for this issue was 'What If Wolverine Had Married and Become A Soccer Mom?'  "Dammit, Logan, quit deflating the ball with your claws when you're not happy with the ref's call!"  Hahaha, just a little Valentine's Day humor.  This is a fantastic cover, Dino, congrats!   I am always excited when I see that you have posted something.

Wolverine covers are always great fun to see, and What If? is one of the most fun concepts for a title that any publisher ever came up with. Congrats on landing this one, Dino!

Well, he probably would have been a lot happier...Great What If pickup! I've always liked this cover, and it was a very fun story. I wonder which Whitman chocolate Wolvie eats first. Big congrats!
