Description

This production stat is on thermal zerox paper and was one of two prelims for this cover. I believe this was done by Marie Severin (or possibly Romita? Opinions welcome). Then Gil Kane drew a second prelim based on this prelim before he then penciled the cover. It is full size (standard silver age)

Classic issue in which Marvel defied the comics code. Stan Lee's notes indicate early dialogue suggestions later discarded, and an instruction to make one of the officers black. The extremely rough sketch of the Green Goblin is by Lee, and the only original art on the page (hence his name as "artist")
