DescriptionI promised Robin I was going to commission another design from them as a follow up to Brave Bow, and here it is.The Witch of Pappelwick was a British mercenary who eventually became Raymond Begay's "archenemy" after she was hired by Oliver Queen to get rid of Raymond. Her formerly spotless reputation was smudged when she failed to kill him, and after that it became a matter of pride until she eventually joined the Crime Club alongside Iago, Larissa Lennox, and the other villains. Visually she's based off Lupita Nyong'o's two roles in "Us." The closest counterpart she has in the main DC Universe is Green Arrow villain Cupid, because she's the only GA baddie I'm really familiar with and I can't bring myself to really care enough to research the rest of his rogues gallery. However, the Witch of Pappelwick refers to an incredibly obscure figure from some versions of the Robin Hood mythos I learned about in college. Social/Sharing |
