Description

Many would argue that Todd McFarlane is THE Spider-man artist of all time...or perhaps John Romita? You really cannot lose with whichever of those titans you select of course, but I would say a fair argument could be made for Mark Bagley, too. The way he transitioned from perfectly portraying Spidey's world as it was established, to the "new universe," so to speak, of the Ultimates universe, was seamless. Yes, the book had Brian Michael Bendis writing some of his best work, but Mr. Bagley was more than up to the task of being as dynamic, fluid and expressive, I love his characters' faces, as every scene demanded. This page was also given as a birthday present. An amazing, spectacular one.

Great page - awesome action oriented storytelling as you move down the page. Also love those subtle panel breaks - adds a kind of splash effect in some panels, again, subtly! Great trick. Congrats!
