Popeye and the love of his life Olive Oyl cut a rug in high fashion, in this original penciled preliminary illustration.
It may have been used for clothing, games, puzzles, or any number of licensed products. The main image is in graphite, with blue pencil framing. The grid pattern indicates this was probably redrawn in much large size for the finished piece. It has hand written color guidelines as well.
Popeye and Olive have figure sizes of 8" and 8.5" on a sideways 12 field sheet.
