DescriptionLeone Frollo, Glamour book. Acquerello su cartoncino, cm 21x29.Leone Frollo was born in Venezia on the 9th of April in 1931 and died in the same city on the 17th of October in 2018. He is an Italian comic artist. He debuts in 1948 with a comic western story called “Sui grandi laghi nella testata Il Risveglio”. In 1953 he starts collaborating with another school journal, “il Corriere dello Scolaro” thank to the drwawer Giorgio Bellavitis who takes over for what concerns the illustrations of the story "La strada senza fine". In 1958 he gets a degree in Architecture. From 1958 to 1968, through the “Rinaldo D'Ami” studio, he works with the English publishing house “Fleetway” for whom realizes various comics with love and war stories, among of these ones “Battler Britton”. In 1963 Frollo publishes on “Corriere dei Piccoli” the "Guerra agli invisibili" story. In 1966 he creates “Melody John” for the S.E.P.I.M and in 1969-1970 the western “La Vedova Nera” and other stories for the French and Italian headlines “Wampus” e “Bob Lance”. In that period he contributes to the realization of the German headline “Perry Rhodan”. With the epic of the erotic pocket comic of the mid-60s and for the 1970s, discovers his lucky vein by creating “Lucifera”, “Biancaneve”, “Yra”, “Naga”, “Casino”. He also creates the sci-fi for children “Fan” for the “Edifumetto” owned by Renzo Barbieri. In the 1980s he collaborates on the weekly “Lanciostory” and “Skorpio” and gives birth to “Mona Street” for “Glamour International”.
