DescriptionThis daily features one of my favorite characters of the Jeff Hawke tales, Tallid. This bizarre character, with a body like a balloon, tentacles and a single eye, first appeared in the story Overlord where he was the more logical member of a gang of hotheads that included Chalcedon and Doghead. He was the one that kept their somewhat villainous plans on track.In Overland, Tallid has become a second-in-command of the Galactic police, Kolvorok’s old job! Even more bizarrely Chalcedon has risen to the top of that organization, largely (by his own admission) by assassinating all of his rivals). This is the next to last strip of the story showing Tallid letting Hawke and Mac use his ship to return home. Overland included strips 3952-4084 and appeared in the Daily Telegraph from 17 Dec 1966 to 4 May 1967. Social/Sharing |
