Description

I got this color preliminary for the Star Wars Galaxy I, trading card (#96) painting from artist Bo Hampton in 2003. The finished painting was the second piece of original art I acquired for my collection way back in 1994 from a collector. I was glad to unite the two pieces together. You can see the finished painting HERE in my gallery.

Bo put a lot of work into this prelim, which almost look like a finished piece. His final painting measures 13” X 18” and is larger than most of the artworks that his peers have done for the Star Wars Galaxy I trading card set. The image area of the prelim measures 9” X 12.5”. Bo signed and dated the prelim in 2003. The prelim was done back in 1992.
