Star Wars PRELIMINARY Art 1

This gallery features preliminary artworks to some of the finished pieces that I have in my collection. Even before collecting art, I was very interested in the artist’s creative process, from concept to prelims, and to the final layout on to paper or canvas. The prelims have not only provided a glimpse into the interesting process of making art, but it has made me further appreciate the work of an artist. Each artist has his or her own method of working out their ideas. I’ve seen tiny little thumbnails with rough scribbles to tight, almost finished pieces serving as prelims done in variety of mediums. Whatever the size, medium or amount of detail is on the prelim, they are just as fascinating to look at as the final artwork.
