Description
In my humble opinion: Gene was the best of Doc's artists (although Brunner also did a superb Job and Ditkos weirdness and dimensions are unsurpassed), especially in these Silver age issues; they really were "Strange Tales" :) ! The Master of the Mystic Arts vacates his physical body and travels in his astral form to find the "Sons of Satannish". Only: good old "Satannish (!?!)" obviously dressed his followers like complete idiots (or fans of Gene's "Jester" in the pages of Daredevil..) as seen in the last panel :) I love Palmers inks, especially around 1970 (also on the Buscema + Adams "Avengers", Colan DD, etc..) and they lead the path to his years-long great work with Gene on "Dracula" ! Look up "Colan" gallery for more fun if you like what you see here !

Outstanding example of Colan's work on the Doc, Tommy!  Love the kind of jagged panel border layout capped off by a suh-weet splash!  Congrats!

Agreed, Colan - especially when inked by Palmer - gave us the best depiction of the Sorceror Supreme. The closing panel shows us that all too clearly, with an amazing composition and angle, and high drama. Wonderful page!
