Description

One of the things I loved about the All-Star Squadron and Young All-Stars was that they didn't just meld comics continuity with real history - they also brought in references from literature (Gladiator, The Lost World, Frankenstein) and film (Mekanique was the robot Maria from Metropolis, the giant ape - unnamed, but obviously King Kong - from the Young All-Stars Project M story, and Prince Daka, from the 1943 Batman serial). With that in mind, I started wondering what else might have been used....

... and whether Emperor Ming might not have seen an Earth embroiled in a global war as being ripe for another assault in 1942.
