Michiel van de Vijver
(b. 1976, The Netherlands)

After graduating from the Haarlem Business School, there was just one thing Michiel van de Vijver wanted to do: make comics. He works on a freelance basis for different media, including two Dutch daily newspapers and comic magazine De Stripper. Together with four other artists - Jan Dirk Barreveld, Rob Derks, René Leisink and Koert Stavenuiter - he started a graphic studio in Nijmegen in early 2001. There, the artists can fully commit themselves to making comics, cartoons, illustrations, and comic scripts.
