DescriptionI’ve been waiting on posting these pages for a while, but what better day than Superman day (June 12th). I remember when this image first came out being a little underwhelmed by it but quickly realizing how iconic it was in its simplicity. The Mona Lisa of Superman Covers, a subtle smile and the embodiment of Truth, Justice and the American way. Ivan Reis has become a generational artist for Superman like he did for Green Lantern and Joe Prado’s inks compliment him better than anyoneSocial/Sharing |

Ivan's work is sublime. He manages to squeeze so much into each page and make it look easy and effortless, like the endless ballet between good and evil in our four colored fan pages. I do have a question, it seems from these pictures that there are two covers, pencils and inks on separate boards, is that the case? or is something else going on here? In any event, congratulations on a Super acquisition (or two) :)

Correct. Beginning with their work on Superman, Ivan Reis and Joe Prado started separating their work. Pencils on one board and inks over blueline on another. I luckily own both to keep the set together. Thanks
