Description
I asked the legendary Neal Adams to create two pieces of the fabled Detective Sherlock Holmes. I wanted to frame them together, so I asked for them facing each other.

Neal did these Sherlock Holmes based on my favorite portrayals... the classic Basil Rathbone and the great Jeremy Brett. I think he knocked it out of the park!

BUT, Neal disagreed. He thought his first rendition of Brett (the one with the pipe), did not look like Brett at all. I'm not sure I'm even allowed to disagree with Adams, lol, but he was gracious enough to create a 2nd Jeremy Brett that is amazing. This newer one has a different Cap than what Rathbone is wearing, as well as a nifty Turtle-Neck!

Much as I'd like them to both have pipes when framed side by side, I think these two do look good together. The differences bring more personality to each, and artistically I think Neal's right... they're closer.

I have displayed all three in close-ups in the additional images. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Great idea, drawn to perfection by a uniquely talented artist. Both Brett images are terrific, but I think the second pipeless Brett is the better choice as the framed companion piece for Rathbone, with the two actors distinctly different from one another yet both undoubtedly Sherlock.
