Description
I love Dick Tracy, and if you haven’t read the old original strips, you should. This is a nice Sunday featuring the villain Influence that was published on 2/2/47, exactly a year after Tracy’s famous 2-way wrist radio was first introduced (on 1/13/46). The watch plays a critical role in the strip’s plot, saving Patton from a burning ice box (typical gruesome Tracy story line). Check out that second panel, which shows a close-up of how the watch works - I love it!

Typical large Sunday art format (27” x 18). Four of the 12 story panels are original stats used in production (the left-most three and the middle one on the right). All else is original art, including the watch panel.

Wonderful Sunday! Love all the detail Gould put in this one! And the two-way wrist radio is icing on the cake!
