These pages from Wood's short run are so imaginatively rich and so purely Woodian in conception that I think they achieve a kind of comics perfection. I don't really regard them as Marvel comics. This Doom is congruent with Odkin, Cannon, and Sally Forth. Woodworld is it's own comics universe.

You don't mess with Doom in his own domain. Wood makes you feel every bit of that action with the classical illustrative inks that befit the epic nature of the story.

Since when does the lion flee from the jackal. That's a great Doom line. I'm really drawn to Wood's Marvel work, and Aaron N put it perfectly. Excellent page. Congrats!
