DescriptionMiles Morales, created by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli along with Dave Marquez, has been an incredibly important character in his brief existence inspiring and extolling the virtues (with great power comes great responsibility) of the Spider-Man created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. I have loved following his adventures from the beginning and seeing people discover the joy the character brings so many has been simply marvelous. Since his creation in 2011 I have been extremely impressed with how the storytelling in Bendi’s writing and Sara Pichelli’s art endeared Miles, Ganke, and the entire supporting cast to me in such a short time. Miles is a good kid that I would want to read about, powers or no powers.2020 was a year of great hardship both new and old. With the pandemic, economic downturn, and the deafening calls for police reform by the Black Lives Matter, the country is being tested. Our citizens character being revealed. In the past few months, the comic community has stepped up to show its support both in donations of time and money. Artists have been offering commissions or sketches for donations or auctioning off art and collectibles that have personal meaning to them. Charity drives like #CreatorsforComics and #ComicsWriterChallenge have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of very worthwhile causes. Tom Reilly was offering a commission for a donation of $50 or more to Black Lives Matter. I was more than happy to donate and in turn Tom did an amazing commission of Miles Morales. Tom is an amazing artist; his style reflects the amazing inking of Chris Samnee but the performance and eyes of Doc Shaner. I requested that he was unmasked and, in the Spider-Verse costume. Tom captures Miles beautifully in this piece. I absolutely love it. Social/Sharing |

Very nice! I like it's mostly a profile shot with eyes turned towards the viewer. The spots of red really pop, and I love how his curls are popping out from under the mask :) Love MM and I'm looking for more art, too. Congrats!
