DescriptionAs my second-to-last Spidey Week post, here is a wonderful battle cover by Alex Saviuk & Rob Stull, featuring one of my favorite Spidey villains, THE SHOCKER!The original art board has two overlays, so I thought it would be fun to show a combined image showing the progression from no overlays to one overlay (adding titles & corner box) to both overlays (adding Shocker's blasts). Kind of a "Build-A-Bear" scenario, only with a Spider-Man instead. Haha okay, maybe not that, but definitely s "Build-A-Cover" kind of deal. Anyway, please take a moment and click on the image to get a larger version of it. Otherwise the image is a bit small. Alex Saviuk of course is one of the major architects of our beloved Spider-Verse, he's also a super guy, and any time I can pick up one of his covers, I am a happy man. Social/Sharing |

I was going through one of my longboxes today and came across a couple copies of this book! Awesome series, great cover, and amazing artist...the holy trinity! Another great acquisition!

Okay, I had to google those lyrics, and to my surprise, it's from a 1990's informercial! Then of course I had to start googling other 1990's hilarious infomercial product videos, like Blo-pens and the Potty Putters -- I think I actually hurt myself falling off my chair from laughing so hard. "But wait, there's more!"

Nice animated cover, Paul, and great idea to post the 3 images this way - always cool seeing the progression of a published piece. And black costumed Spidey + Shocker + Saviuk?! Can't beat it :) Congrats!
