This piece is probably the closest that I will ever get to owning a vintage Manhunter page from Simonson. Apparently, the art was for the cover of Sparkle City Comics Investors Newsletter but I have yet to find which issue.

Here is the description from the eBay listing: This is a hand-drawn and inked ORIGINAL ART drawing done in 1978 by the legendary comic artist....Walter Simonson! This was originally drawn for the cover of an issue of The Investors Newsletter published by Sparkle City Comics. This drawing is based on the popular character of Manhunter but since this was done for Sparkle City Comics (and their advertising mascots were SHEEP), the head is a RAM....Get It?! Clever, right?!

Wow that is surreal. Amazing! Very few pieces of finished Manhunter art from his best period.
