Description

Not many comics pros had as storied a career as the late, great Dick Giordano. Artist, Editor, mentor, legend, and gentleman.

I'm a pretty private person and don't reach out to my heroes much. When Giordano passed away, I regretted not contacting him and telling him what his work meant to me. Knowing no one would read it, I sent an email to his professional address to posthumously do just that.

To my surprise, one of his children read it and sent a thoughtful reply. That meant a lot.

Anyway, Tomorrow's Publishing Alter-Ego Magazine edited by the amazing Roy Thomas is one of my all-time favorite magazines. Month after month it's lovingly put together and is a joy to behold. So having a Dick Giordano cover (featuring some of my favorite characters to boot!) from one of my most beloved comics magazines is a real grail pick up for me.

As is the case with many pieces of original art, this one is SO much more impressive in person. 11 x 17 on brisol board featuring The Invaders (or All-Winner's Squad) vs their most hated villains representing the Axis powers. I hope you like it!

Larry, a great cover! Dick Giordano is my favorite DC inker, and he was also a great artist. Bravo.

It's such a rare treat to see Giordano's take on Marvel characters, and to have so many on one cover is a treasure.
