Description
43 years young. So incredibly sad.

Lost my father to Stage 4 colon cancer. Just a horrible, horrible disease.

I remember watching 21 Bridges and thinking how thin he looked.

Incredible to think he was battling this while making many his films.

My thoughts and prayers to his entire family.

A brilliant actor and by all accounts a real gentleman. I'm saddened by his death.

I happened to be on the site around the time you posted this, and that was how I first learned of this terribly sad news. My initial reaction was that this couldn’t be true, he’s much too young, and in the prime of his life and career. Then I thought that maybe he had succumbed to the virus, as have so many others. Astonished to learn he had been privately battling cancer, while at the same time publicly making these great, physically demanding films. Condolences to his friends, family, and everyone that, like myself, admired him as a person, and his work. And on a personal level, very sorry for the terrible losses you have suffered as well Eric.

I actually delayed posting the memorial for about a half hour because I also thought there might be a chance that this was some terrible hoax.  That the News and media would start running with it, and then it would be revealed as just a really cruel and sick prank.  In a way, I sort of wish it were.  Thank you for your kind comment and your condolences for my father and sister.  May we all learn from the example of love and courage he showed us.

Talented actor but also seemed to be a genuinely good person.  So sad.  I really do appreciate his heartfelt rendition of one of my favorite fictional characters in T'Challa.  Thank you, Mr. Boseman - rest in peace and power.

well said Eric. its hard to believe.  Chadwick was a terrific artist and an incredible human being who tried to make the world a better place than he found it.

Pretty hard to think of anyone who brought so much joy to so many in such a short amount of time.  If he was trying to make the world better, he succeeded far beyond anyone's expectations.  His gifts to the world will outlast us all.  Thanks for the comment buddy, stay safe.
