Description

Visually striking page by this Italian master, untimely passed away 30 years ago (1930-1990) , whose art is still nowadays almost unknown outside his own country and even there widely underestimated.

This is page 9 from the 10-page story titled "L'Ultima Nave Negriera" (The Last Slave Ship), written by Claudio Nizzi and first published on the magazine "il Giornalino" (May, 1981). It has been recently reprinted in a 4-volume series with all the other Capitan Erik stories.

The sheet is very large (about 14"x 20") and I preferred to scan the page in two separate parts.

A wonderful comic art with classic adventure theme. Love the mix how Micheluzzi did use the black ink. Indeed a master of the 9ieme art. Congrats Davide.
