Description

NE Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills & NE Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins 1987 From One Extreme To Another by Eddie Germano 12 x 20 pencil and ink on Brockton Enterprise paper. This cartoon depicts weeks 14 & 15 of the 1987 Season. The Patriots went on to win both games and finish the season 8-7 (Tied for 2nd place AFC East) but the Colts also won there last 2 games finishing 9-6 conference champs ultimately leaving the Patriots in the cold.

The 1987 New England Patriots season was the franchise's 18th season in the National Football League and 28th overall. They failed to improve on their 11-5 record from 1986, in the strike-shortened and finishing at 8-7 and missed the playoffs for the first time since 1984, and finished tied for second in the AFC East Division.
