Description

Page 1 of a 7-page Romance story that appeared in INTIMATE LOVE #24; published by Standard, in September of 1953. I wish I could recall who I purchased these from, and when? But, my memory fades. They are very large Twice-Up pages. They are not terribly well-drawn, but the inking is quite nice. I had always wanted to have Original Art from the Standard Romance books, to examine up close.. As I'm a big fan of the artwork from that period. Colletta makes a valiant attempt to ape the Alex Toth house style that seemed so popular, during that period.

I adore Colletta attempting to capture the "Toth" magic. This is a sweet set of pages and it's wonderful that they have stayed together!!

Thanks!! Yes, I was very happy to be given the opportunity to purchase the Complete Story! I bought the set, many years ago. But recall, that the purchase price was very affordable. I think it was just a couple hundred bucks, at the time..
