my oa origin story...

here's to make a short story long haha... this was my first original art and the subject was #conan, december 1977, #winnipeg, canada;
.
photos are a scan of my bad film photography at our porch around late 1970s; i was then 13 yo when i commissioned #georgefreeman, who was local to the city, and he went on to do work for marvel, dc, etc;

the deal was done through #dougsulipa via his then legendary, brick-and-morter store inside the phoenix building on donald st.—#comicWorld; the mixed media art on illustration board was 18 x 24 in, and purchased for $75 cdn; then before my parents and i moved to british columbia around summer 1979, i sold it to a local collector #mikeokeefe for like $175 cdn;

so, last i saw this art was at #redriverbookstore, winnipeg back in 1984; i wonder who owns it today?
