Description
This is a preliminary painting for the cover of my favorite Stephen King novel: Salem's Lot. Compared to the final painting that they settled on, this one is much different and has more of an eerie feeling to it, which in my opinion is more appropriate for the story.

I think this version was the best one out of the two drafted. Sundown was more fitting and equally terrifying, especially if you were a local of Salem's Lot and worked nights.  :)
