Lovely piece of artwork—but this looks more like brother Gerry's work.
According to the Valiant Book of Pirates preface, all images were drawn by Ron Embleron. I wonder if he got a helping hand from his brother?
I've got the book Steven and there are quite a few illustrations by Gerry as well as a double page spread of a galleon which was done by yet another artist. We featured quite a few of Ron's pirate paintings in the Book Palace Illustrator's Special on Ron Embleton.
