You'd think being married to your favorite comic artist would have advantages, well yes and no because I get to see the great SABRINA sketches Veronica was doing for INKTOBER but I had to force myself not to just buy everyone as she finished it. It wouldn't be fair to the folks that were taking these 20 seconds after she'd post. But this one I used my husbandly persuasion to buy it (and I DO pay for her art when I buy it) because I thought it so perfectly captured Kiernan Shipka's likeness.

Now, full disclosure, despite being the artists on the rebooted comic book, we've only seen about half an episode of the Shipka show on Netflix. I think she's perfectly cast, and when the convention organizers in Chicago and Archie Comics arranged a meet and greet for all of us we found her sweet and very down to Earth.

Anyway, back to the art-- this is 6x9 and on bristol-- I even love the way she handled Salem the Cat.

I still haven't seen the Netflix show yet (it's in my very long queue), but this does capture the likeness well. And the use of red really makes the whole thing pop. Nice use of husbandly persuasion to get this!

I haven't seen the show either, although we met Kiernan for a publicity shoot when we were doing the comic.
