John Romita Sr. Spiderman Magazine Prelim

When I was 13 years old I bought my first piece of original art which was a splash page from Spiderman Annual 1996 by John Romita Sr. (my favorite artist as a kid and still) But years later I tracked down a copy of the issue only to discover that the page was only inked by Romita and actually penciled by Ron Frenz. It was beautiful regardless, but I was crushed. I needed a pure Romita piece for my collection! Originally, I had vowed never to sell it since it was my first piece of art, but when I got a great offer from another collector who loved it even more than me I couldn't refuse. My plan was always to replace it with another Romita Sr. for my collection but as the years passed the prices kept going up, it never happened. Now after a decade I'm FINALLY able to fill the gap with an incredible example!

As a Canadian, Wolverine has always been my favorite character so I was often torn between the idea of owning a Romita Wolverine vs the classic Spidey. So when I discovered this piece I simply couldn't pass up the chance. Much thanks to Wesley Lui for parting with it!
