1963 SUPERMAN WAYNE BORING ORIGINAL COMIC STRIP PROOF PAGE NEWSPAPER PRODUCTION ART

Rare Original printed Proof Page for the Superman daily newspaper strip, released the week of November 4, in 1963. Early Silver Age Superman production pieces are tough to find, since many were of course lost, destroyed, thrown away, etc. The sheet is fairly large, and measures approximately 9 1/2" by 16 3/4". The piece is in very good overall condition, especially considering it's age (over 50 years old!) and scarcity, with general edgewear and paper aging. The artwork is by legendary artist Wayne Boring, who did a considerable amount of classic work for DC Comics, and is without question regarded among the several most important creators associated with the Man of Steel (including Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, and Curt Swan). The page features 6 complete strips (a full week), with November 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. And what's particularly awesome is that it features Superman in costume in almost every single panel on the page!
