Description

Fun Gumps daily. Back in the day, Gumps was among the most popular comic strips ever. In 1935 , Smith perished driving home in his new Rolls Royce after having signed a $150k contract. The Gumps continued on to be a huge franchise with Radio and Film spots. Although before my time, in the early days of strip collecting these were among the most coveted and expensive strips in the hobby. Time has not been kind to the Gumps and although still rare, not the cat's meow they once were.

I've always found these strips to be expressive and fun. Cool to get a New Year's eve/day strip, too!
