The chaos lord Typhon has stolen the power of Doctor Fate and is hours away from driving the entire world mad. The only thing left for him to do to make his win certain is break the will of Fate’s intended new host, Eric Strauss. Giffen’s “new” style (at the time) showing influence from Alex Toth and Trevor Von Eden is in full effect. (But correct me if I’m wrong, those extreme close-ups of the faces seem like they were all Giffen.) Doctor Fate # 4, page 6 (1987).
