On this page drafted by master craftsman Barry Smith, we see the first signs of the budding romance that would develop between the mohawked X-Man and Forge. The artist's visionary approach has made this one of the most unique and revered story arcs in X-Men canon. Ink over blue pencil and graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Storm's mohawk is discolored original art paste-up in all panels except Panel 5. The mohawk paste-up is held down with tape in Panels 1, 3, and 4. The bottom and top left corners are trimmed. Excellent condition.
