Description
Here's a fun full page cliffhanger splash where a monstrous, freakin' scary Venom has gotten the drop on poor Spidey. I love how his left arm morphs into the tendril webbing that has Spider-Man all bound up. I also dig the raised spider symbol on Venom's hulking back.

Plus there’s ANOTHER Venom rising from the bottom of the splash. What’s going on here? Need to re-read this issue.

This is my first piece featuring inks by Rick Ketchum, and I think he does a great job.

Stay tuned for more quirky Skottie Young pieces as the week goes on.

Interesting, is this how he used to draw when he first broke into the business? This may as well be signed by your buddy Humberto!

Some uber stylized Venom/Spidey work here, and that's a good thing.  Lots of tendril-y goodness.  Kind of reminded me of the work of Francisco Herrera when I saw it.  Again, a good thing :)  Congrats on the nice Skottie example!

That spidey headshot is very similar to Skottie's Venom 17 cover (just a few issues later).  Really cool page.

This is my favorite period in Skottie's art when he was influenced by hip hop and graffiti above everything (and most likely by Herrera and Ramos).
