DescriptionWhat I love most about this illustration is that at the time that I got it, I was laboring under the impression that this was a fanciful creation of Schultz's. Imagine my surprise to learn that these cute little critters actually existed! In fact the fossil record for this Devonian period tetrapod with both fish and amphibian-like features is remarkably complete. An ink version of this illustration appears in "Mark Schultz: Various Drawings, Volume 1", (Flesk Publications, 2005).Social/Sharing |
