X-Statix #24, p. 4

This lively knuckleduster (with full, gorgeous inks by Nick Craine and wonderful “pop” published coloring by Laura Allred) was actually just the precursor to the real “battle” between Mr. Sensitive and Iron Man (or more accurately, Guy Smith and Tony Stark).

‘X-Statix’ was where you went to see superhero norms turned on their heads, and I’m hard-pressed to remember a more hilariously striking example of that than how this conflict ultimately played out, with Tony and Guy both stripping down to their birthday suits and dueling in typical operatic, super-heroic fashion (featuring a few blades of grass being hurled at "Mr. Sensitive" Guy, after Guy taps on a pressure point in Tony’s wrist….). It was my write-in choice for ‘Best Fight Scene’ in the 2004 Comic Buyer’s Guide Fan Awards (…and to my knowledge, its only vote :) ).
