Karate Kid vs. Manhunter (Mark Shaw) by Michel Fiffe

Michel Fiffe writes and draws one of my favorite comics, Copra. He also runs one of the best Patreons, which features not only Michel's own work, but great essays on his favorite comics. And I was absolutely thrilled when he agreed to contribute to my "Karate Kid vs." collection! I gave Michel a few opponents to choose from, and he chose my favorite Manhunter - Mr. Mark Shaw! Michel did a fantastic job here with this commission, and I loved it as soon as I saw it. I love the character poses, the colors, and Val Armorr taking out Mark's power baton. Also, look at Val's belt and those tiny lines on his gi! Anywho, I adore this commission and I can't thank Michel enough!

Mark Shaw is a master of many martial arts, he has that power baton which has many functions, and his suit is armored. So he'll last a good 30 seconds in my opinion. As Michel shows, Val will have to immediately take out the power baton before striking Mark himself. And then it's just a matter of getting past Mark's defenses armor to knock him out, which shouldn't be too much of a problem for the master of every single martial known up until the 31st Century!
