Portrait of a Man, Olympian by Patrick Nagel, 1983 *SOLD

Original Pencil drawing of Portrait of a Man, Olympian created circa 1983 for the upcoming 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Nagel was working on several paintings for the Olympics prior to his death. Sadly, this pencil sketch I do not believe had a final painting, but there are others.

This was published in "Nagel, The Art of Patrick Nagel" page 104 in 1985. The only book released so far that covers a very small fraction of his work, but that makes this pencil drawing all the more rare. There are only two pencil drawings of men in the book.

His men are FABULOUS but hard to find. Selling this one stings a bit but it is in a great collection in California.
I personally think it looks like a young Arnold Schwarzenegger.
