Simon Fraser : Nikolai Dante - Romanov Dynasty; 2000ad Prog 1042

Well this finding this one was a bit of a nice surprise... well not so much finding as it dawning on me what a gem this was. I've always looked at this page (from Wakefield Carter's site) and loved it. An early exchange between Dmitri Romanov and Nikolai that I feel so perfectly captures their relationship. So when looking for some early Dante pieces I returned to this one. It then slowly dawned on me that this was actually a page of firsts as well. First appearance of Dmitri, first appearance of Viktor, first appearance of Konstantin... all be it those junior Romanov's in the background.

Most importantly though having bought the last appearance of Lulu Romanov from Simon Fraser a few years ago I joked if anyone had her first appearance (thinking of a page from later in this story)... and it turned out this was actually her first appearance.

So basically the perfect page for me at this time. Early Dante - check. Some superb characteristion I'd always loved, check. Dmitri Romanov, check. First appearance of Lulu, check. Snapped it up!
