Who remembers Paper Moon Graphics greeting cards?

“Let’s Work It Out” by Joann Daley (1982) Acrylic painting commissioned for Paper Moon Greeting cards. I loved these cards!! This was framed personally by Joann and kept in her studio collection until her death.

So Her Creepshow painting sold for a whooping $50,400 at Heritage Auctions Oct. 2020 due to her passing and her estate sold it. Her pop culture published pieces are now coveted.

The original acrylic on board (framed page 2) is 20” x 15” and Joann incorporated her signature in the painting lower right. Framed to 27” x 22”.

Don’t recognize the name Joann Daley? She was a highly prolific published illustrator in the 70s, 80s and 90s probably best known for her “Creepshow” “Popcorn” and “Scanners” movie posters. She worked for Playboy on numerous projects including famous Ronald Reagan pieces. She created illustrations from everything to romantic book covers, portraits of celebrities, comic book trading cards and... yes, Paper Moon Graphics greeting cards.

An extremely gifted artist no longer with us, but still much appreciated! Look out for those 80s cards and her posters! The drawing board is a lost art in our digital world and they can only go up in value.
