DescriptionJust love the contrast here between our Dark Knight and the armored Bat-Knight from Earth-9.Sir William is a pretty cool character. As a Table knight, his interactions with King Arthur and Morgan La Fey on Earth-9 led to Merlin magically trapping him in his castle (Castle Bat). Though imprisoned, he discovered that he could project his spirit into his armor and have it walk free, performing good deeds. His armor protected London as Batman, the Dark Knight. I got to meet Brad Walker back in 2011 at the Miami Supercon. I was already a fan because of his work on the Guardians of the Galaxy title, and five years later I saw this cover for sale and had to grab it. John Livesay's inks are also really impressive. Oh wow, such an early Walker cover. But not only that, it's one of, if not THE, earliest depictions of published Batman art by him. If you saw his most recent arc on Detective, you'll know why I find this really cool. His work on that was amazing. But this depiction going back over a decade looks very much like how he draws him these days. Great looking piece, and yes, Livesay's inks are indeed very nice here!

Walker is underrated and you know it just by looking at pieces like this. I need to get one! Dynamic with the poses and composition and I like how BIG the characters are, Easier said than done, making an energetic image with the figuers taking up that much of the art board. But not for Walker! Great detail accentuated by Livesay, too! Congrats!
